​The Science behind Yak Milk

  • The yaks are long haired bovines belonging to Bovidae family well adapted to high altitude Himalayan regions like China, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Siberia, Bhutan, Tibet, India and Nepal.
  • In India It is found in hilly terrains of Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh.
  • Yaks are endothermic, semi-domesticated and herbivorous animals.
