Defence Ministry Adopts OS "Maya" to Enhance Cybersecurity

Recently, India's Defence Ministry took a significant step towards bolstering its cybersecurity by replacing Microsoft Operating System (OS) with the locally developed Ubuntu-based OS named "Maya," aimed at preventing cyberattacks on critical infrastructure and government agencies.

  • "Maya" is based on the open-source Ubuntu platform and boasts an interface and functionalities comparable to Windows, ensuring a seamless transition for users.
