India Successfully Test-Fires Rail-Based Agni Prime Missile
On 25th September 2025, India achieved a major strategic milestone by successfully test-firing the Agni Prime missile, an intermediate-range nuclear-capable missile, from a mobile rail-based launcher.
- This development places India in an elite group of nations capable of firing canisterised missiles from on-the-move rail networks, alongside Russia, the United States, and China.
