Credit Assistance Program for Jan Aushadhi Kendras
On 12th March, 2024, the Union government launched a credit assistance program for Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAK).
Brief Description
- Aim: It aims to address the financing needs of micro and small enterprises, ensuring their sustainability and growth while contributing to the overarching goal of providing affordable and quality medicines through the Jan Aushadhi Kendra network.
- MoU: As a part of the program a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI) to provide financial assistance and support infrastructure development for JAKs.
