Sundarban Biosphere
- The Sundarban Biosphere Reserve is the world's largest delta and mangrove forest. It is a group of several islands located at the mouth of the Bay of Bengal, which extends across India and Bangladesh.
- It located on the delta of Ganga, Brahmaputra and Meghna rivers. The area of Sundarban is about 40,000 square kilometers.
- It provides shelter to 84 species of flora, of which 26 are mangrove species. Besides, 453 species of animals, 120 species of fish, 290 bird species, 42 species of mammals, 35 species of reptiles and eight amphibian species are also found here.
