SC Directives for Effective Implementation of POSH Act
On 3rd December, 2024, the Supreme Court of India issued detailed directions to ensure effective implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act), for implementation across the states and union territories.
- Earlier in May 2023, the Apex Court had taken strong exception to the facts that even a decade after the enactment of the POSH Act, serious lapses remained in its effective enforcement.
