HC directs Delhi Govt. to Implement PM-ABHIM Scheme
On 24th December 2024, the Delhi High Court (HC) directed Government of Delhi to sign an MoU with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM).
- The Court emphasized that the PM-ABHIM scheme should be implemented in its entirety to ensure that Delhi residents benefit from all the facilities and funding under the scheme.
About PM-ABHIM
- Launched: Launched in 2021 for period of five years from FY 2021-22 to 25-26.
- Aim: To fill critical gaps in health infrastructure, surveillance and health research.
