Sporting Prowess: The Year of Historic Wins
- In the Asian Games-2022, India has won the highest number of medals (107) in 60 years with 75% more gold medals compared to the 2018 Asian Games. Additionally, players have also won medals in 16 new sports categories.
- Almost 50% of the medals of the total medals won by India in this tournament have been won by women athletes. These also include 03 gold medals and 02 bronze medals by women archers.
- Indian Para-athletes have also created history with the highest number of medals so far in the Para-Asian Games by winning 111 medals including 29 gold medals.
