Importance of Mangroves
- Species: The nutrients found in the leaves and roots of mangrove trees provide food for plankton, algae, fish, and shellfish. Mangroves are home to a wide variety of birds and mammals, including mangrove monkeys in South Asia and Bengal tigers in the Sunderbans.
