Smriti Mandhana named ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year

  • Smriti Mandhana was named as the Women’s Cricketer of the Year on 31st December, 2018 by International Cricket Council.
  • She also won the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Award. The Mumbai cricketer was the third highest scorer in the World T20 with 178 runs.

CA Kuttappa appointed as India’s Boxing Coach

  • Dronacharya awardee and serving Subedar CA Kuttappa has been appointed as the Head Coach of the Indian Boxing Team.
  • Mr. Kuttappa in the past has trained boxers like Vijender Singh, and also accompanied the Indian Boxing men’s team at Rio Olympics, 2016 and Asian Championship, 2017. ....
